Integral to the vision for Athena Schools is the development of values. The values also reflect the necessary learner behaviours required for each student to succeed.

The values are explicitly and implicitly developed in each of our schools; explicitly, through opportunities provided in the lessons and implicitly, as a result of role modelling of the requisite behaviours by all members of staff.

As Athena’s focus is on developing innovative thinking, emotional intelligence and community focus with an international outlook, we collaborate with universities to open doors of opportunity for our students. The University partnerships and the Athena International Award are an outcome of this.
